Overview |
|
| Your Obstetrics and Gynecology experience will consist of eight weeks. This rotation is organized so that you will spend four weeks on the obstetric service and two weeks each on the gynecology service and the gynecologic oncology service. Your time will be divided between the wards, clinics, OR, L & D and didactic sessions. In addition to your inpatient experience, outpatient clinical care will be a part of your educational experience. |

| Examiners Clinical Exam will be given. |

| -- Practical Exam |
|
| -- The Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) will be given on the last Friday of the rotation (unless otherwise scheduled). This exam assesses clinical skills you acquired during the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship rotation |

| Membership to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology is REQUIRED of all students rotating through the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship. Membership is complimentary; you will not be charged annual dues. You can sign up at www.acog.org. |

| All material needed for the clerkship is located on WebCT at https://courses.missouri.edu/. Two weeks before the start of your block, you will be given access to the OB/Gyn Clerkship material. Click on the WebCT link and use your pawprint (same user id and password you use to access your email) to log into the system. The course syllabus, case and lecture material, maps and helpful information can be found there. Please review this material and print the syllabus for use during orientation. Orientation is held the first Monday of the block at 8:00 a.m. at the Health Pavilion Conference Center at Columbia Regional Hospital. |
