Undergraduate Opportunities

Undergraduate students are a valuable part of our research program. Research experience is necessary to make career choices and to be competitive for graduate school.  I do not require that undergraduate students have prior experience, but they must be highly motivated, focused and willing to learn while in our research team. Undergraduate students will each be assigned their own project and are expected to complete and publish their work with help from our team. They may also perform a wide variety of more routine duties to help maintain the laboratory.  Undergraduate students working on projects in my laboratory may be funded by MU summer fellowships, extramural grants, or may just want to volunteer time.

If you are interested in becoming involved in research during the summer or regular semester, please contact me by e-mail (timmsk@health.missouri.edu) to make an appointment to talk. Also, check out our past undergraduates.
