Strong Faculty Support |
|
|
Our faculty members are committed to attend teaching rounds every day with our residents on the Obstetrics and Gynecological Oncology service, and twice a week with residents on the Gynecological Surgery service. During teaching rounds, residents, faculty and medical students interact together and use the cases of the day as a springboard for learning. In addition, each resident has faculty mentor |
support, as well as support for job procurement or fellowship placement.Timely and constructive feedback is given regularly, and frequent sessions with the program director keeps lines of communication open.
Weekly Didactics
Once a week we dedicate a half-day to formal didactics including Grand Rounds, Journal Club, Morbidity & Mortality Conference, faculty and resident lectures, CREOG reviews, and resident feedback from the program director.
Resident Focused Program
Our program is resident-focused, with a strong hierarchical structure and clearly defined objectives. We seek continuous improvement based on resident feedback. Residents assume higher degrees of clinical and teaching responsibilities with each subsequent year in the program. |
