| From the Associate Program Director... |

I
would like to personally and warmly welcome you to our Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. You will not find a more dedicated group of residents and faculty willing to share their knowledge and experience with you. We have invested ourselves in this program to provide the best possible educational experience. |
I consider myself an MU success story, having received an excellent residency education at MU between the years 1996 and 2000. This experience prepared me well for duty in the U.S. Air Force as an OB/GYN faculty member at a large residency training program in San Antonio, Texas. After this service commitment was fulfilled, my wife and I looked at numerous job opportunities. When we thought about it, we had really enjoyed the people and resources in Columbia, Mo. Residency here had been good to BOTH of us, and the memories were pleasant even with a stringent internship. We had a toddler son and a newborn daughter entering the world at the same time! Both of our hearts were set on returning to Columbia, and we arrived a year ago in July 2005.
We are blessed in having made the right decision. Most of my faculty colleagues and mentors are still here, and even the nursing and |

administrative personnel have changed little. The country air is pleasant and easy, and most conveniences of a large cosmopolitan city are available (so says my wife, who is used to the conveniences found in Dallas, Texas), without rush-hour traffic and aggressive attitudes. In short, life here is good.
We are looking for strong residency candidates – just like you – to apply to our exceptional program. Consider interviewing with us and get to know us; I am sure you will be impressed.
My very best regards, |
